John Debney has reunited with director Jon Favreau (Ironman 2, Elf) to score a reimagined version of The Jungle Book for Disney. The film is an adaption by Justin Marks from the classic novel by Rudyard Kipling and the Disney classic The Jungle Book released originally in 1967. The new film will be released on October 9, 2015.
Debney to score comedy The Cobbler
It was announced today that John Debney will score The Cobbler, from Oscar® nominated writer-director Tom McCarthy. The film, starring Adam Sandler and Dustin Hoffman, will be released later this year.
Debney scoring The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water
It was announced today that John Debney is on board to score the sequel film, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water. While on a quest, SpongeBob discovers a secret recipe that brings him into into another dimension, our world, where he encounters the pirate Burger-Beard. Directed by Paul Tibbitt, the film will be released on February 6, 2015.
